We are delighted to bring to you our latest range of tackle.
2008 saw WSB Tackle's largest ever increase in own-brand products, particularly in rods and reels, and we were very happy that they were all so well received. Our intensive marketing of these products in both trade and consumer magazines has increased awareness of our brand names; Orbula®, Attura®, Stiffi®, Bow Wave®, High NRG, Overshadow, Extrema, Freshwater Carp, Fish-on and Dinomax®. We sincerely hope that this advertising has also been working to your advantage and has been increasing your sales.
We have been concentrating mainly on increasing our ranges of own-brand fly fishing products for 2009. Our own range of sinking, intermediate and floating flylines is being launched this year. This range of quality fly lines have been manufactured to give high performance for long cast and smooth presentation. All are attractively boxed and are presented on an easy to load spool.
Our new products also include items such as flyline backing, tapered leader, braid scissors, a 12' keep net and a keep net bank stick. We now also stock whips in 9m & 10m lengths following requests by many of you, together with whip accessories such as a solid tip and solid stake.
Unfortunately, times are hard for everyone in business at the moment, however, the current economic downturn seems to be encouraging more people to spend their holidays in the UK and this increase in tourism can only be good for all of us in the leisure fishing industry. We are also set to see more visitors from Europe, given the current Euro-Sterling exchange rate, and of course more people are looking for an affordable leisure activity they can enjoy close to home in their spare time.
